Film Actor turned Politician Kamal Haasan will be launching his line of D2C apparel and a perfume line on India’s Republic Day on 26 Jan. ‘22. “House of Khaddar” is the name of the line and is expected to be launched online in tune with current times and a large Indian diaspora that is spread all over the globe, many of which include his fanbase. The actor took to Twitter to announce the same. The hashtag #KHHK has been trending online ever since this announcement. We need to wait and see how this “offline use” product will take off when several celebrities globally are leaning towards NFT.

Whether the actor’s large fanbase would turn customers for his preaching towards Khadder is anybody’s guess. In his last outing, most of them in Tamil Nadu let him down by voting to the two polarised political parties during the 2021 State Assembly Elections though commercial engagements & opportunities are a completely different ballgame altogether.
