Noida Airport Retail – A Star is born

The winner of the much awaited retail and duty free tenders at the second international airport in the Indian capital at New Delhi have been announced.

Global Travel Retail giant Gebr. Heinemann has won the contract, in association with Indian partner BWC Forwarders Pvt. Ltd.

Together with its Indian partner, Gebr. Heineman will operate all the commercial retail areas at the Noida International Airport which is expected to be operational by end of 2024.

Noida International Airport will combine Indian warmth and hospitality with Swiss technology and efficiency to develop a modern, user-friendly design, inspired by India.

The first phase of the airport, featuring one runway and one terminal, will have the capacity to handle traffic of 12 mn passengers annually.

Upon completion of all four development phases, the airport will be able to cater to 70 million passengers per year.

NIA will be the first airport in its class in India to achieve net zero emissions, setting a new standard for sustainable airport operations.
