Editor’s Note

Mercedez Benz (MB) has always been the epitome of luxury ownership in India. For several decades, owning a ‘Merc’ has not just been a status symbol but also signifies a sense of achievement in life.

While Audi and BMW cater to a relatively younger profile of consumers, Mercedes remains the undisputed leader in offer luxury automobile in India.

Needless to say, the consumer profile of MB begins more or less where that of the other two German carmakers end – the typical Mercedes owner is in their early 40s, while the top end buyers of Audi and Beamer are in their 30s.
