Franglobal, the international division of Franchise India Holdings, is bringing one of America’s popular food chain, the 4 decade strong Hooters of America. The original hooters, as they are called is one of the most popular watering & dining hole in the US and has delighted fans across the country. There are tourists and international visitors who never miss visiting the Hooters Bar when in town.

Started in 1983 by six-friends who were never in to the restaurant business, Hooters gained traction with their promotion tactics – young, friendly, smiling girl bartenders who served guests with their trademark smile and orange attire. The brand went on to sponsor NASCAR racing in 1991, ran Casino hotels and even operated an airline – Hooters Air! In 2003, the company decided to delight the American troops serving in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

During the tour, the Hooters Group distributed 2,000 Calendars; 20,000 Let Freedom Wing Lapel Pins; 10,000 posters and 10,000 decks of special Hooters Calendar playing cards featuring 2 special “Jokers” Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. The 7 shows were attended by over 15,000 troops and UC3 and the 6 Calendar Girls figure they signed over 100,000 autographs on the special tour merchandise.

The 2023 Hooters Calendar is available on amazon for US $ 21.99 and includes US $ 100 worth Hooters coupons which could be redeemed at any of the Hooters outlets worldwide. The company operates 410 Hooters restaurants in 38 stores across USA and 24 international markets.

Michael Arrowsmith, Chief Development Officer at Hooters, said, “We offer franchises in many other countries and strongly believe in the business model of franchising. India is a big market, a growing market, and one that we see as being very successful for us. Our unique themed restaurant will also create numerous employment opportunities”.  Hooters is one of the most recognisable brands in the restaurant industry today, with 100% awareness in the U.S., with the majority of its population having dined at one of its restaurants.

Before Hooters, several American-themed restaurants and Bars have entered India but few have stayed longer. Chilli’s is one of them. Several other couldn’t sustain the competitive environment that sports bars and restaurants operate in India as well as the limited exposure to international dining formats for the majority of people who “chill out” across the country.
