NIC Honestly Crafted Ice Creams, the premium zero preservative ice cream brand known for its innovative flavors, has a new store in New Delhi. The Lajpat Nagar location marks the second company-owned store opening after the successful launch of their flagship store in Bandra, Mumbai. The company which operates 16 parlours, with 50 flavours plans to add 15 new stores this year. The brand is available through food-tech platforms such as Swiggy. Instamart, Blankit, Zepto and Zomato across 86 cities and 250 pick-up points.

“We are excited to bring NIC Honestly Crafted Ice Creams to Delhi and share our passion for honest
and innovative ice cream flavors with our community with the launch of the physical outlet“; said
Sanjiv Indar Shah, Director, Walko Food Company Pvt Ltd. “Our commitment to quality and creativity
sets us apart in the industry, and we look forward to introducing our delicious and unique ice cream
flavors to more people offline as well“.

The new store will feature the brand’s signature range of flavors, including those inspired by traditional Indian sweets such as Pan, Gulab Jamun, etc. During the Holi festival, NIC had launched Thandai ice cream and the regular favourites like Alphonso Mango, Tender Coconut, Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, Dry Fruit Overload, Mixed Berries to name a few, which are most loved by NIC’s customers across the country as well.

The Ice-cream market in India is estimated to be Rs. 24,000 Cr (USD 3 Bn) in 2022. The market is extremely fractured across the country and the top companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Amul Dairy, etc. focus on take away packs, ranging from 100ml to 1,000 ml. Beyond the Metros, the Tier 1-3 towns largely serve locally produced and marketed brands, some of whom are restricted within their geographical districts. The ice-cream parlours on the other hand, have gained popularity over the last 20+ years with the expansion of domestic favourites such as Amul, Havmor, Vadilal, etc. as well as international specialty chains such as Movenpick, Baskin Robbins, among others. In the past 10 years, gourmet ice cream chains have sprung up across India. They have become a go-to place for families & groups, as well as for weekend / leisure purposes.
