On a sunny morning of 18 April 2023, Tim Cook, CEO – Apple, inaugurated the first Apple store at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. The financial district of the financial capital of India is home to several corporate offices of Indian and international companies.
The 20,000 sft store is wholly invested and operated by Apple as per international standards. 200 staff members who can interact in 20 languages will serve customers from 11am – 10pm, all days of the week.
Apart from being another touchpoint which sells Apple products, the Apple store would be a melting point of Apple afficianodos. The store would feature the iconic “Genius Bar” where trained Apple employees would solve technical queries, especially about Apple products as well as assist customers in discovering more about the Apple ecosystem.
The store would also act as a place to collect orders placed online on the company’s website enabling “PhyGital Retail” combining omni-channel experiences to customers. Other than the typical Apple store features seen elsewhhere in the world, there will also be a special “Today at Apple” concept from 18 April – 25 May at the BKC store.
