Libas, one of India’s fastest growing omni-channel D2C fashio brand has opened its newest store at Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi. Actress Vaani Kapoor graced the inauguration.

Spread over a massive 11,000 sq ft across 5 floors, this store is by far the largest and most opulent store for Libas, making it a significant milestone for the brand in its journey.

Merchandise are well spread out across the store to make it easier for customers to browse, interact with the staff, take trials and complete their shopping.

Sidhant Keshwani, Founder & CEO of Libas had to say, “The launch of this flagship store marks a pivotal moment in Libas’ growth, as we strengthen our presence in key markets.

By opening in Lajpat Nagar, a renowned destination for ethnic and bridal fashion, we are committed to meeting the needs of today’s brides and fashion lovers.

This store is a major step towards making Libas a household name in ethnic wear, and we are excited to offer our customers an experience that beautifully merges tradition with modern style.”

Actress Vaani Kapoor expressed her excitement for the store’s launch and said, “I am truly honored to have been a part of this grand launch. The new Libas flagship store is an exquisite blend of tradition and modernity, offering a stunning range of bridal wear that every bride would dream of.

It was wonderful to see such a beautiful and well-curated collection all in one place.

The basement and ground floors comprise an array of kurta sets, mix and match options and the brand’s exclusive Libas Art Line along with its ready to stitch offerings.

The first floor showcases lounge wear, the brand’s unique “Extra Love” collection, ready made suits and kids wear.

The second floor presents an exquisite collection of sarees, gowns and lehengas, while the third floor showcases the bridal lehengas exclusively.

The store’s unveiling also featured a vibrant gathering of leading influencers from Delhi NCR who participated in a series of interactive activities, creating an engaging and memorable experience for all attendees.

Libas had raised INR 150 Cr from ICICI Ventures in May 2024. The brand has opened 15 stores during 2023 and plans to add 200-250 years over the next 2.5 years.

Interestingly, the offline play currently contributes only 15%. Over 70% of its sales arise from marketplaces such as Myntra and Amazon while its own website contributes to 15%.

The brand claims to have clocked INR 500 Cr in revenues for FY 23-25 and aims to double its revenues by 2025.

The Big Fat Indian Wedding market annually is estimated at INR 1 Lakh Crores (USD 130 Bn). The market opportunity for organised retail remains wafer thin at the moment, as most of the purchases are made in the general markets.

Several family-led apparel retailers across the country have been upgrading their stores over the last decade to claim a larger share on this whopping market that is bridal collections for grooms and brides alike.
