In 1964, the vision of Sri P. Manoharlal Jain was to craft jewellery that honours tradition and celebrates every customer, for every moment, every celebration.

The brand has recently opened its 43rd store in India at the tony Anna Nagar locality in Chennai.

With a thoughtfully crafted collection of over 2,500 designs, from traditional Temple Gold pieces to modern diamond and gemstone jewellery, the store offers customers an experience that honours culture, while embracing modern sensibilities.

Dinesh Kankaria, Managing Director of PMJ Jewels, said, “PMJ Jewels reflects the rich cultural and historical legacy of South India, through its jewellery and hospitality. Chennai’s enduring traditions beautifully align with the designs we craft here at PMJ Jewels.

It is rooted in heritage, shaped by craftsmanship, and filled with emotion. This new store represents a step closer to the generations of families that appreciate the values of authenticity, tradition & artistry, and we will continue to provide them with jewellery that tells the stories of their life celebrations.

This store allows us to provide a more sophisticated, personal and memorable shopping experience for our customers in the heart of the city.”

The brand’s half-saree collection features designs that connect the stories of generations with present-day outfits and styles, creating a bond of warmth over time spans, as young girl’s celebrate the transition into womanhood.

The bridal collections draw from symbolic elements that define wedding jewellery, from traditional motifs and from nature, reflecting the rituals and relationships that shape this milestone.

PMJ’s Pavitram collection features goddess-inspired pieces, including Radha–Krishna necklaces, Balaji chokers, Lakshmi and Saraswathi carved pendants, mangalsutras, tikkas, earrings and gemstone-studded deities.

The designs take inspiration from sacred sculptures, divine imagery and historic temples such as Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Konark Temple and Mallikarjuna Temple.

PMJ Jewels also offers other additional services at the Anna Nagar, Chennai showroom, such as old-gold exchange, jewellery service, custom-designed jewellery and a whole lot more.
