Fabelle by ITC has introduced a new 64% Dark Chocolate range, expanding its premium portfolio with a sharper focus on deeper cocoa flavour, cleaner ingredient cues and mindful indulgence.
The launch comes at a time when Indian consumers are increasingly gravitating toward dark chocolate formats that combine sophistication with a more refined taste experience.
The new range is crafted using premium Ghana-origin cocoa, selected for its aroma and depth.
Fabelle has paired this sourcing with its chocolate-making expertise, including precise cocoa selection, ultra-fine particle size technology and extended conching, all of which are aimed at enhancing flavour, texture and mouthfeel.
Subash Balar, Business Head – Confectionery, Chocolates & Coffee, ITC Ltd., said, “The modern Indian consumer is rethinking indulgence, seeking greater transparency, balance, and choice without giving up on experience.
This is evident in the rapid growth of dark chocolate in India, which industry reports indicate has more than doubled over the past five years, outpacing traditional milk chocolate.
Alongside this, demand for no added sugar options continues to rise. Through Fabelle, we are shaping a more refined chocolate culture that reflects how consumers want to indulge today.”
The collection includes a mix of bars and pralines designed to highlight different expressions of dark chocolate.
Cranberry Noir brings together dark chocolate and the mild tartness of cranberry, while Orange Eclipse adds a gentle citrus note.
For consumers seeking a more direct cocoa experience, the No Added Sugar Dark Chocolate Bar offers a purer form of indulgence.
The range is rounded out by Dark Symphony, a box of 10 handcrafted pralines with no added sugar and a refined blend of almond, macadamia, pecan, hazelnut and pistachio.
With this launch, Fabelle is positioning dark chocolate as more than a niche indulgence.
The brand is tapping into the growing demand for premium chocolates that offer both taste complexity and a more considered ingredient story.
The new range reflects this shift with products that balance craftsmanship, flavour and modern consumer preferences.
Editors Note
Premium chocolate in India is moving beyond sweetness and gifting appeal to become a more experience-led category.
Fabelle’s new 64% Dark Chocolate range fits neatly into this evolution, especially with its emphasis on cocoa provenance, reduced sugar options and flavour pairings.
The launch also reinforces how luxury food brands are leaning into clean-label cues and stronger taste credentials to win over discerning consumers.
The India premium chocolate market was valued at USD 1, 2 Bn in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 2.2 Bn by 2034, implying a 6.74% CAGR from 2026 to 2034, according to IMARC Group.
