While cost-cutting seems to be a continued goal, the company informed that it is facing challenges with regards to outlet closures due to lockdowns though there seems to be not much of a disruption on the supply chain or with regards to procuring raw materials.
The company operates a clutch of industries, ranging from Cigarettes to Hotels. FMCG to packaging & paperboards with a huge long term focus on the agri-business.
According to the company, the outbreak of the second wave of the pandemic has led to severe economic and social disruptions.
Its key interventions include easing the bottlenecks in transporting medical oxygen, supply of medical oxygen to government hospitals from its Bhadrachalam plant, importing oxygen concentrators and generators for donation, facilitating the setting up of medical facilities to supplement the healthcare infrastructure, providing personal protective equipment kits and other infrastructural support to hospitals in several states.
The company said that it is of paramount importance, the well being of it’s employees and business associates.
