After Target and Walmart, Kohl’s has announced a “Wow Deals” event to be held at all its stores on 21 & 22 June, when Amazon would run its flagship “Prime” Days during the same period on its US website as well as across 630 Whole Foods stores in the country. For the record, the company is estimated to have sold USD 10 Bn worth goods in 2020 during the two days or “Prime” which was 10 times compared to its first one in 2015.

Physical retail store chains Target and Walmart would run their sale for 3 days starting 20 June ’20. Target’s event would be known as “Target Deal Days” which would need no membership (like Amazon Prime) and would include perks such as same day delivery and 5% off on its digital gift cards.
Walmart, on the other hand calls its flagship event as “Deals for Days shall have online as well as store-only deals and plans to have Black Friday-like offers so consumers can save in scores. While studies suggest that household savings in the US have increased all through the pandemic due to lack of the otherwise popular discretionary spends, concerns of employment opportunities and the condition of the economy may play spoilsport.
