Panasonic has announced the launch of its new range of Google TVs following the successful launch of OLEDs. The company plans to introduce 23 new models by the Google TV platform.The latest range featuring 4K HDR and Smart capabilities are designed to provide an immersive and unparalleled viewing experience to consumers. The new range will be available in different display size options such as 32’, 43’, 55’, 65’, and 75’ inches. The Tvs are priced from Rs. 19,990 onwards all the upto Rs. 3,19,990.
These will be available at Panasonic stores, dealer networks and key e-commerce platforms.

The estimated market size of smart TVs in India was Rs. 80,000 Cr (USD 9.8 Bn) in 2022 and is expected to reach Rs. 92,000 Cr (11.7 Bn) in 2023. Of the 200 mn househoulds in India which have a television set, only 11% have smart television sets, which are powered by the internet. Xiaomi is the market leader with a 14.3% market share followed by Samsung & LG. The Rs. 10,000-20,000 price band captured over 40% share in the overall TV market in 2022.
The biggest advantage for the viewers of smart tv sets is direct and instant connect to OTT apps such as YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney+ Hotstar, ZEE5, Netflix and a host of other such apps. The OTT market in India is currently in its nascency which is estimated at Rs. 26,000 Cr (USD 3.7 Bn). Currently, Indians buy 20 mn units of Tv every year.
