Telugu Actor Vijay Deverakonda celebrated his birthday with his fans and with the team at Cream Stone, one of India’s leading ice-cream retail chains. The actor also inaugurated the ice-cream truck which would travel across several cities this summer.

Cream Stone was launched in Hyderabad in 2009 and currently operates over 50 ice-cream parlous across Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
The estimated size of the Indian ice cream market is Rs. 27,200 Cr (USD 3.4 Bn) and would reach Rs. 40,000 Cr (USD 5 Bn) by as early as 2025. Factors such as increased disposable incomes, a growing aspirational middle class and a fancy for high quality ice cream are pushing the opportunity upwards for retail chains like Cream Stone.
Amul is the market leader in packaged ice cream followed by Kwality Walls, Havmor, Creambell, among others. The dine-in model of icecream retail is catching up in India as much in Tier 2/3 towns, as it has been in top 50 cities.
