Timezone, India’s leading family entertainment centre has opened its 65th experience centre. The massive format is located at Chennai’s leading shopping centre in the heart of the city, Express Avenue.
The new centre will host games such as Arcadia, Hologate, Asphalt 9 among various others, for the first time in India. There will be a 50-seater party area for hosting events such as birthdays and family get togethers. The state of the art bowling alleys are sure to strike the right chord with corporates who wish to have a memorable team outing.



In 1958, Malcolm Steinberg started with 21 pinball machines in his grandfather’s garage. The first Timezone began in 1978 at Murray St., Perth, Australia and has hence grown to 200 Timezone and Timezone Play & Learn centres across 6 countries in South East Asia. In 1993, the company began operations in Singapore and entered India in 2006.
In Nov. 2017, Australia’s Quadrant Private Equity acquired 50% in the company to help accelerate growth in Asia. In 2018, the company obtained 100% ownership in the Indian business.



Unlike the traditional pinball parlors and pool halls of the era, Timezone was the first family oriented video amusement facility. This family emphasis is still a key focus of the brand today.
The company is said to have earned USD 710 mn during FY 2022-23.
