The city of lakes in Rajasthan is witnessing a massive retail boom on the back of a fledgling economy. Once famous for its forts and as an attractive tourist attraction for international and Indian tourists, the newest mall in town Urban Square has been steadily attracting top Indian and international brands.

The latest to enter the royal town and the upcoming mall is UAE-based Landmark Group’s Lifestyle Department Store, spread over 17,500 sq ft. across two floors. The store was inaugurated by Ajay Pal Lamba, Inspector General of Police, Udaipur, in the presence of Uddhav Poddar, Managing Director, Bhumika Group, the builders of the Mall.

Uddhav Poddar, Managing Director of Bhumika Group, said “We are delighted to welcome Lifestyle, India’s leading clothing brand, to Urban Square Mall in Udaipur. This opening marks an exciting milestone in the development of our city’s retail landscape. With its expansive store offering diverse national and international brands, Lifestyle adds tremendous value to the mall. More than 75 lifestyle brands from India and abroad have leased the spaces. We are committed to making Urban Square Mall one of Rajasthan’s premier retail destinations.”

Along with a diverse range of national and international brands, the store will also offer its own popular brands, such as Melange, Kappa, CODE, Forca, Ginger, Bossini, Fame Forever, and more.

More than 75 lifestyle brands from India and abroad have leased spaces in the mall over the last 12 months. Phase I of the project features a six-screen multiplex to provide a holistic visual experience to its visitors.

The total expanse of the mall is 3 acres, of which over 8 lakh sq ft of retail space will come up in phase 1. Once the second phase is also leased, the total retail space would be close to 1.1 mn sq ft, making it one of the largest retail properties in the state of Rajasthan.
