India’s largest luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India had announced an upward revision of the ex-showroom price of its model range, effective 1st April, 2023. The price correction was in the range of up to 5% across the portfolio. The depreciation of the currency compared to the Euro, combined with increased input cost including logistics costs, have been exerting significant pressure on the company’s overall operational cost, the company had said.

Meanwhile, Mercedes-Benz India achieved its best ever H1 in India with record sales of 8,528 units, a growth of 13% over the same period last year when it was 7,573 units. The TEV – Top End Vehicles segment for Mercedes Benz India grew 54% in H1 this year over the last year.

The total order book for CY 2023 for the company stood at 3,500 units as of June 2023. The company also had its best ever Q2 CY 2023 sales in India, with 3,831 units – a growth of 8% over the same period in 2022, when the number of units sold was 3,551.

The company has announced the launch of a limited edition dog collar for discerning owners of Mercedes Benz vehicles and their beloved furry pets.

The Superdackel luxe dog collar elevates any dog’s look as you stroll the streets. It’s part of the limited-edition Superdackel capsule collection that is available now in India.

At the heart of it is a special-edition handcrafted Superdackel figure sculpted from 100 % cherry, maple, walnut, and alder wood and styled with the iconic Mercedes-Benz emblem.

If you want to get your paws on it, you better be quick: It’s limited to 65 units only pan-India. The company has not mentioned the price of the unit on its public platforms.

Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India had said earlier this year, “Mercedes-Benz continues its strong demand in the Indian market, achieving the best ever H1 and Q2 sales. This record sales performance is driven by high desirability of the brand, an attractive portfolio, increased availability of cars and successful implementation of the ‘Retail of the Future’ business model.”

“Our focus remains on elevating the customer experience and continue to grow the Top-End Vehicles which outpaces other segments. We are excited about the remaining quarters, having lined up some of the most awaited luxury vehicles for our customers, starting with the New Generation GLC”, he added.
