Actress Nayanthara has announced her coming together with feminie hygiene brand Femi9. Her husband and director Vignesh Shivan is the Co-Founder along with Dr. Gomathi who is the Founder of this venture which is expected to address hygiene and period protection for women.

Leveraging her personal insights and with the backing of medical professionals within her co-founding team, the Jawan-actress has embarked on a mission through Femi9 to empower women to conquer these challenges.

Nayanthara, Co-Founder, Femi9, said, “Despite the progress made in social media and the dissemination of information, menstruation remains a widely stigmatized topic. Femi9 is not just a brand, but a representation of the strength, resilience, and unity of women, the unveiling of a sisterhood, and a brand that truly cares for women.”

“Taking this step into the personal hygiene space, I am looking forward to a continued celebration of togetherness, sisterhood, and a common hope for a healthier, happier future for all women”, added the actress who is known for her fiery performance in films like Mersal alongside Actor Joseph Vijay. She appeared as a co-star with Superstar Rajinikanth in the movie Darbar, which released in 2020.

Adding further, Vignesh Shivan, Co-Founder, Femi9, said, “Entrepreneurship isn’t just about innovation but also about addressing real-life challenges with purposeful solutions. In this context, it is imperative to create brands that resonate with the needs of our time. Brands that confront vital issues, such as the often-overlooked period challenges faced by women, not only signify progress but also cultivate a more inclusive society. This is what we aim to do through Femi9.”

Femi9’s products include high quality, ultra-thin daily wear pads for women. The natural, comfortable, and breathable pads are made by women for women, and offer complete period protection, under any circumstance.

Femi9 has come up with an innovative way to order products, which is simply by placing an order for the sanitary pads via WhatsApp. The brand’s website is expected to be launched shortly.

Going beyond the products on the shelves, Femi9 is also aiming to evolve as a thriving community of women where positivity, health and wellness tips, and exciting updates are shared through various social media and digital platforms on a regular basis.

The brand is on a mission to make every woman a part of the community, and to add comfort to every life.

Nayanthara and Vignesh had recently announced their investment in 9Skin, a revolutionary brand that aims to bring about a remarkable transformation in skincare along with serial entrepreneur Daisy Morgan.

The duo had previously invested in Chennai-based beverages chain Chai Waale, founded by Vidhur Maheshwari.
