Malaysia’a Kuala Lumpur International Airport is among the top aero-hubs in the South Asian region. Through this airport, millions of passengers hop through to connect various parts of the region.
Indian passengers are among the top travellers in this airport, even as they connect through the country’s flagship Malaysian Airlines to other countries.
The airport has a new offering, brought to the travellers by none other than Avolta, (formerly HMSHost), the incumbent F&B operator at the airport.

“Taste of India” was a concept store that was first conceived and launched in 2008 by HMSHost, when the Greenfield Bangalore International Airport commenced operations.
Back then, the F&B offering was not just a first of its kind to Indian travellers, but also changed the landscape of how food is consumed at airports and carried as takeaways in to their flights (in India).
The newest outlet of Taste of India has come up near Gate Q at sector 7 of the International Departures area at KLIA’s Terminal 2.

Taste of India offers a selection of Indian delicacies, including aromatic Biryani, flavourful Dosas, Parathas and a variety of mixed rice dishes.
Vegetarian options are also available, so passengers can savor the taste of Indian dining at its finest. The outlet will operate on all days from 8am to 10pm.
Avolta operates in 73 countries and 1,000 locations, with 5,100 points of sale across three segments – duty-free, food & beverage and convenience – and various channels from airports and motorways all the way to cruises ferries, railway, border shops and downtown.
With access to 2.3 billion passengers each year, Avolta is powered by more than 76,000 employees.
The company’s diverse workforce is represented by over 150 nationalities bringing Avolta to life every day as it turns their collective aspirations into achievements.
