The epitome of Italian automotive luxury, Maserati had 26,700 vehicle shipments for the year 2023, up 14% more than the immediate previous year. Even during the peak Covid year 2020, the company sold 17,200 units.

The luxury carmaker has launched the 2024 GranTurismo in India with an ex-showroom price starting at INR 2.72 crore (USD 325,000).

The coupé seamlessly blends the exhilarating performance of a sports car with the comfort needed for long journeys, currently available in India with a high-powered internal combustion engine version.

Philippe Claverol, Head of Overseas markets, comprising 66 countries at Maserati said, “We acknowledge that having only one dealership in Mumbai is not enough. We see great potential, particularly in North India, with Delhi as the base, and in Bengaluru.

By the end of this year, we will have three full-fledged dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. From there, we will explore opportunities to open additional satellite or full-fledged dealerships as the market demands.”

The GranTurismo in India will be offered in two distinctive ICE variants, each showcasing Maserati’s relentless pursuit of perfection,  also the GranTurismo is a true four-seater, designed to comfortably accommodate four adults with ample space.

Claverol added, “The Maserati GranTurismo’s debut in India represents a significant milestone for us, merging Maserati’s rich heritage with groundbreaking innovation.

It demonstrates our commitment to automotive excellence by offering both powerful internal combustion engines and cutting-edge electric options.

GranTurismo’s powerful performance, exquisite comfort, and innovative technology are poised to transform the driving experience, confirming our notion that “The Others Just Travel.”

Powering the GranTurismo ICE variants is the formidable 3.0-liter  V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo engine, incorporating F1-derived technologies available in the power unit of a standard production car for the first time.

At the heart of the Trofeo variant lies the 3.0 liter V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo engine, an engineering masterpiece designed for maximum performance.

“Our customers are highly demanding and value the experience as much as the product itself. We need to ensure that we provide the right level of excitement and service, from the moment they discover the car to after-sales support“, Claverol stated.

“The number of high-net-worth individuals is growing, and they are looking for unique experiences. Driving a Maserati is part of that uniqueness,” he said, adding that Maserati’s customer base in India is primarily concentrated in Mumbai, with growing interest from cities like New Delhi.

With a top speed of 320 km/h and acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, the Trofeo delivers exhilarating speed and dynamic handling, making every drive a thrilling adventure.

Engineered with a focus on innovation, the GranTurismo utilizes lightweight materials such as aluminum and magnesium, alongside high-performance steel, achieving outstanding weight efficiency through advanced manufacturing processes.

Inside, the GranTurismo boasts a modern, refined cabin featuring the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system, state-of-the-art infotainment, and a unified touchscreen display for main functions.

It also includes a digital clock, an optional Heads-up Display, and the exceptional Sonus faber Audio system.

All GranTurismo models are equipped with All-Wheel Drive transmission (AWD), and the decision to position the front differential in line with the engine has made it possible to create an ideal set-up with considerable benefits for the dynamics of the vehicle.

The Maserati GranTurismo will be available at Maserati official dealerships across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.

This expansion underscores Maserati’s commitment to delivering its world-renowned luxury and performance to a broader audience in the Indian market.
