Mercedez Benz achieves highest annual sales during Q3

Mercedes Benz has announced that it has handed over 14,379 new Mercedes Benz cars to its customers, its highest YTD sales by the third quarter of its full business year.

Santhosh Iyer, MD & CEO at Mercedes Benz India shared on his Linkedin post about the highlights of its Q3 2024 sales.

“Our Q3 sales results are a testimony that India is dreaming and rewarding itself like never before. While there are headwinds for the Indian auto/luxury industry, we were able to buck the trend and navigate with a robust sales performance.

Our best-ever Q3 sales of 5,117 units (+21%) translated into our highest-ever YTD sales as we handed over 14,379 (+13%) new Mercedes-Benz cars to customers.

The highlight remains the accelerated pace of BEV adoption, growing at 84% YOY, comprising an all-time high ~6% sales penetration and leading the luxury electric car market”, he added.

The company has extended its “Dream Days” festive campaign and hosted the launch of its all new E-Class LWB-themed ‘DreamVerse’ at Mumbai.

Bollywood Actress Kriti Sanon was a guest at the event and shared her inspiring journey with the audience. She spoke about her pursuing a degree in engineering to sculpting her journey in to the film industry and going on to win her first national award.

She shared an anecdote about how she manifests her dreams by noting them in a diary rigorously for many years. Today, she embodies many identities: an actress, an entrepreneur, and now a producer.

Since 1995, the Mercedes Benz E-Class has sold over 57,000 cars, making it “India’s longest running production car” on the country’s roads.

This icon was welcomed by a range of “Dream cars”, from the iconic G 63 AMG to the S-Class Maybach debuting its night series Avtar along with the AMG GLE 53 , the SL roadster & also the Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV.

Santhosh Iyer added, “I am glad to announce we will be introducing 2 New products this year, exceeding our market promise of 12 launches. Both these products are surely going to light up customer sentiments and excitement this festive season.”

India witnesses sales of over 42,000 luxury cars annually, priced over INR 50 lakhs each (USD 59,500).
