Editor’s Note
The shopping and consumption patterns vary largely from top metro cities and Tier 2/3 towns. Even there, the shopping habits are quite different across the four zones of India.
Tier 2 / 3 markets seem to be unperturbed as yet by the noise made by Quick Commerce companies such as Zepto, Blinkit by Zomato and Instamart by Swiggy.

Ahead of Deepavali 2024, Blinkit had launched its operations across several small towns and seems to have tasted early victory. However, large format stores in FMCG, apparel and electronics are finding the going tough due to intense heat created by Q Comm companies.
