The brand has opened a store at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad. The store was recently inaugurated by the First Lady of India, Honourable President Draupadi Murmu.
Rare Planet was founded in 2015 with a vision to empower rural artisans across India and curates everyday life objects with traditional yet captivating and contemporary designs with premium quality attached with them.
The company generates livelihood for over 25,000 artisans, thereby promoting the mission of Atma Nirbhar Bharath as well as preserving the country’s rich cultural heritage.
The company operates over 32 stores across Indian airports and brings the magic of Rare Planet in every state in India.
It’s hand-curated products span over 10 categories, including intricately made home utilities, hand-painted ceramics, textiles, charming jewellery, wooden toys, etc.
The company has till date raised INR 22 Cr (USD 2.81 Mn) across 4 rounds from marquee investors. The company reported INR 24.6 Cr in revenues for FY 2023 and employs over 350 people.
