The Organic World (TOW) opens new store in BLR

Bangalore based The Organic World has expanded to Mysore in Karnataka with its second store in the state. India’s leading natural and organic groceries retailer also operates a store in Hyderabad.

The Organic World considers its mission of making worry-free, wholesome, curated groceries accessible and affordable to a wider audience.

Gaurav Manchanda, Founder of Nimida Group, stated, “Our Mysore stores mark an important step in our journey to bring our worry-free groceries closer to everyone.

Health and wellness should be accessible to all, irrespective of location.

With increasing consumer awareness about the presence of harmful chemicals in our everyday groceries, the demand for organic options has risen significantly across the country. Mysore, with its rich cultural heritage and progressive embrace of chemical-free lifestyles, was the natural destination to expand beyond the metros.

By launching in Mysore, we aim to empower more families with our worry-free, wholesome, curated options.”

Known for its cleanliness, yoga hubs, and environmentally conscious residents, Mysore is a natural fit for The Organic World’s ethos of promoting safer & healthier living.

The Organic World plans is planning new stores in other high potential cities across India such as Pune, Coimbatore, Chennai and Delhi.

The Organic World, launched in 2017, is a part of the Bengaluru-based business conglomerate, Nimida Group.

With over 3,000 organic and natural products available under one roof, TOW offers a diverse selection that includes organic-certified, pesticide-free fruits and vegetables, wholesome chemical-free staples, and homecare products free from toxins.

Customers can also find a wide range of safe personal care items free of parabens and sulfates, health and wellness products, lovingly curated childcare items, and nutritious snack alternatives.

Editor’s Note

The estimated market size for organic food and grocery in India is USD 2 Bn pa in 2025.

The overall grocery and food market in India is estimated to be USD 600 Bn annually, while the organised segment, dispensed through supermarkets, hypermarkets and e-commerce channels is considered to be a mere 5% of USD 30 Bn pa.

Discerning consumers are shunning toxins mixed processed food for healthier options such as organic food items. However, the prohibitive price of such premium food items is a deterrent for most middle class Indians.

Yet, the market for organic food and grocery is slowly growing, especially in posh neighbourhoods of top 20 towns in India and not just limited to the 4 Metro cities.
