Singapore based sweetmeat chain Mad Over Donuts has opened its newest store at Pune. Known for its 100% vegetarian fare including eggless doughnuts, the new store of MOD has come up at the Happiness Street.

Along with a menu packed with 24+ varieties of donuts, coffee, bubble teas, brownies, bites and more, the store features a warm, inviting ambiance.

Tarak Bhattacharya, Executive Director and CEO of Mad Over Donuts said, “Our goal at MOD is to create joyful experiences for every customer. Opening our store on Happiness Street is a fitting step in making our ‘circle of happiness’ more accessible to Pune’s vibrant community. We can’t wait to welcome you!”

MOD is offering free donuts for the first 100 customers for an entire month (conditions apply* – refer at store).

Mad Over Donuts was founded in 2008 and currently operates over 150 stores across 7 Indian cities.

Editor’s Note

F&B Retailers are opening stores across the country and across food categories based on higher discretionary spends by discerning consumers.

While most brands prefer a national presence in a short period, those which succeed in the long term are ones which follow a disciplined, expansion strategy.

For Ex., instead of opening a few stores in multiple cities, it would only make sense for F&B operators to first satiate a certain market before looking for expanding to other markets. This way, the food service brand builds familiarity in a certain geography and draws repeat customers.

Once patrons start frequenting to the brand, although across other branches, the company is well placed to succeed rather than mindless multi-city expansion.
