MM Agarwal Group, the Promoters of McDonalds for Northern and Eastern India has invested INR 100 Cr in family health nutrition brand Fitspire.

Fitspire has raised the pre-Series A round of funding from Anant agarwal owned group which runs over 300 McDonalds stores across the region.

Earlier this year, Fitspire, owned by Starcap Wellness Pvt Ltd, had raised funds from investors like Jaipuria family office Ruchirans- Anuraag , Sohil-Ashish Chand – LC Nueva Capital  , Dheeraj Jain – Redcliffe Group  Amit Singhal – Fluid Ventures and Ivor Braganza – Next 5 Ventures Oman , and by international singer Sukhbir Singh.

Vipen Jain, Founder & CEO  Fitspire said, “Our goal is to make healthy eating convenient, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.

This investment will serve as a catalyst for Fitspire’s next phase of growth.

We plan to strategically allocate these funds to drive expansion across new product lines, accelerate our quick commerce capabilities, strengthen our offline business initiatives, and explore international business opportunities.

Our sales have already seen significant growth of over 150% this year, driven by increased consumer demand.”

Anant Agarwal, promoter McDonalds India and MM Agrawal Group (MMG) said, “MMG Group is thrilled to strengthen our partnership with Fitspire and explore further strategic discussions.

We have been collaborating with Vipen, Nidhi, Hinah, and their team for over six months now, and we are very impressed with their product innovation, marketing expertise, and overall execution quality. We look forward to the exciting journey ahead.”

Fitspire was founded in 2020 by Vipen Jain along with Nidhi Jain and Hinah Sawhney. The company has become a prominent player in the protein health sector, with a special focus on Vegan and vegetarian products.

Fitspire caters to various segments, including sports nutrition, vitals, healthy snacking and personal wellness.

Driven by an increasing demand for health supplements such as protein products, with a consistent customer engagement coupled with product expansion and an omni-channel approach, the brand has reported a 100% growth in 2024.

Fitspire is launching a new range of innovative products, including protein shakes, protein cookies, protein chips, protein spreads, and protein-enriched bakery products.

These products will be marketed under Fitspire’s ‘House of Protein‘ umbrella, reinforcing the brand’s vision of becoming a leading family health and nutrition brand.
 
Fitspire was founded in 2020 by Vipen Jain, an alumnus of IIM Lucknow, along with co-founders Nidhi Jain and Hinah Sawhney.

Editor’s Note

The health supplement food market in India is estimated to reach INR 440,000 Cr (USD 55 Bn) by 2032, a 2x increase since it was in 2023.

The product offering includes healthy snacks, healthy dairy products, millets, quinoa, oats, dark chocolate, berries, etc.

Prevalence of lifestyle diseases such as Diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and obesity have increased the awareness of the importance of a strong immune system.

The powder segment accounted for the largest revenue share of 38% in 2024.

Powdered supplements, such as protein powders, meal replacements, and herbal blends, are highly favored among fitness enthusiasts and individuals pursuing weight management goals.
