Airport shopping is not just fun, but a lot of convenience too. Arrival shopping is largely focussed on taking a thing or two back home or while meeting a business partner. The world’s favourite toy store brand Hamleys will provide the same seamless offering to passengers at Chennai Airport.
The Hamleys store is located opposite the baggage belt area in the domestic arrivals section of the Chennai International Airport. Master Concessionaire for product retail for Chennai Airport VidVeda will be operating the brand store.

Hamleys, the London based toy retailer was founded by Willam Hamley, a Cornishman from Bodmin, England in the year 1760.
The flagship store at London is spread over 54,000 sq ft and is considered one of the top prominent tourist attractions in the UK, attracting over 50 lakh visitors a year.

Hamleys operates over 180 stores worldwide, of which over 125 points of sale are located in India across 44 cities including malls, airports and high street areas.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani acquired Hamleys for USD 89 Mn (INR 700 Cr) in 2019 when he became a grandfather, from Chinese fashion conglomerate C. Banner International.

Reliance Retail has the master franchise to operate the brand in the Indian market.
Reliance Retail plans to add 500 stores for Hamleys by 2030. With a booming, young population and higher disposable incomes for discretionary purchases, Hamleys is well poised to make a great headway in the branded, premium toys segment.
