Global food and diary giant Danone Group, makers of iconic products such as Aptamil, Neocate, Dexolac and Nusobee, has launched convenient on-the go sachets of its flagship product Protinex for the well being of consumers.

The pack, priced at INR 25 will be available in Chocolate and Vanilla flavors. Offering 25 essential nutrients, the pack would be ideal for consumption between meals or while traveling, ensuring one never has to compromise on their health.

Sriram Padmanabhan, Marketing Director of Danone India said, “Protein deficiency remains a pressing concern in India. At Protinex, we recognize the urgent need to bridge this nutritional gap with accessible and effective solutions.

With the introduction of Protinex sachets, we are taking a step forward in making high-quality protein intake more convenient for individuals, thereby supporting India’s journey towards better health and nutrition.”

India is grappling with a significant protein deficiency, with studies revealing that nearly 73% of adult Indian diets are deficient in Protein.

Moreover, access to protein-rich nutrition remains limited due to affordability and availability concerns. Protein is an essential building block of life and must be consumed daily, as it is not stored in the body like other nutrients.

It plays a vital role in supporting the body’s ongoing repair and maintenance processes, promoting sustained energy levels and strength throughout the day.

Editor’s Note

Protinex is a trusted brand for well over 65 years from the house of Danone, which reported revenues of USD 27 Bn for 2024.

According to Nielsen, the size of the Adult Nutrition market is estimated to be INR 1,200 Cr pa and Protinex has a 26% market share currently.

Discerning consumers are shunning malt based and sugar-laded beverages such as Horlicks and Bournvita towards protein based beverages such as Protinex.
