Tamil Nadu’s pride and India’s premier vegetarian restaurant chain “Sangeetha” has inaugurated its newest store in the United Arab Emirates.

Anirudh Rajagopal, Partner, Sangeetha said that the newest outlet, 12th in the UAE and 7th in the city of Dubai has come up at Silicon Oasis.

“The journey of Sangeetha in Dubai started in 2001, thanks to the vision of my father, P. Rajagopal.

He saw the potential to expand the Sangeetha brand overseas and seized the opportunity to partner with other partners to open our first outlet in Karama, Dubai, in 2001.

His commitment to spreading the values of Sangeetha to the people of Dubai came to life through his tireless efforts in market analysis, team training, development of SOPs and control measures”, said Anirudh on his Linkedin post.

“At a time when technology was new to the food and beverage industry, it is inspiring that my father managed the operations of these overseas outlets from Chennai”, he added.

Anirudh went on to enlist the key reasons for the brands resounding success in their business operations, including Consistent quality, Affordable prices, Innovation and adaptability, Marketing & promotions, Guidance from his father and Efficient operations management by their partners.

Editor’s Note

Over 35 lakh Indians are said to be working and living in the UAE. Across the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC), over 90 lakh Indians are said to be residing.

F&B Brands like Sangeetha took to foreign shores in the beginning of the new millennium to capitalise on the mass exodus of migrant workers to the Middle East in favour of construction opportunities as well as several thousands of white collar jobs in banking, IT services, consulting, etc.

While local cuisine is favourite among the Arabs and the international visitors and residents, south Indian food has always been a draw for scores of NRIs who crave for authentic, home style food and that’s what brands like Sangeetha have satiated to discerning consumers.
