One of India’s leading Quick Service Restaurant chains ‘Fat tiger’ has announced a massive three year expansion plan. The brand plans to employ 1,750+ people across its 500 outlets in three years, with a presence in 200 Indian cities.

Fat Tiger was founded in 2019 by Sahaj Chopra and Sahil Arya and is currently present in 22 cities with 50 outlets. Sahaj is the younger brother of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra and both are cousins of Actress Priyanka Chopra.

Sahaj Chopra and Sahil Arya, Founders and Directors of Fat Tiger, shared their thoughts on the expansion, “We are focused on growing Fat Tiger’s presence across 200 cities, making our offerings accessible to more customers while generating employment opportunities at scale.”

Fat Tiger offers an interesting combination of food items including momos, burgers and beverages. The chain has also recently launched BBQ Momo and Kimchi Momo, alongside Boba drinks.

Editor’s Note

Several QSR chains are mushrooming across the country, thanks to higher disposable incomes of the youth and first job seekers.

Neighbourhood food outlets have been there for long; branded QSRs assure quality and consistency of food products, along with a clean, hygienic environment.

The QSR market in India was estimated to be INR 200,000 Cr (USD 25 Bn) in 2024, and is expected to grow to INR 320,000 Cr (USD 40 Bn) by 2030.
