Ramraj Cotton, the textile brand with humble beginnings from Tiruppur, has taken the Indian traditional wear Dhoti global with their remarkable campaigns over the last decade.
The simple Dhoti made of loin cloth, mostly handwoven was worn by late freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, C Rajagopalachari among others.

Tall political leaders of the late-19th century India such as Kalyan Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, MGR and NTR wore Dhoti in their public lives which has now become a hit among the youth.
Dhotis are a mainstay in most festivals and ocassions among South Indian households.
However, there has been a tectonic shift to other forms of traditional wear such as kurtas, pyjayams and expensive bridal wear including sherwanis.

The brand has now stuck a chord with the younger generation by roping in learned Vedic Scholar and an exponent of Hindu Discourses U. Ve. Shri. Dushyanth Sridhar.
Ramraj Cotton has created a new video which has been shared on social media as well as been getting a lot of positive feedback from the mainstream television audience.

Dushyanth is an alum of BITS, Pilani and worked for a decade with Tata Consultancy Services, before embarking on his spiritual knowledge-sharing journey over the last couple of years.
He offers free discourses and covers topics across Hindu Dharma, atleast half a dozen times a month, in English, Kannada & Tamil languages across India and worldwide.



Through his not-for profit organisation “Desika Daya”, Dushyanth has been organising spiritual trips to discerning yatris within & outside India, to various places of importance that are connected with Sanathana Dharma.
These trips offer basic luxury and are also filled with knowledge sessions all through.

He became an author in 2024 with the release of Volume 1 of Shri. Ramayanam, which has also garnered immense support from all quarters of the society.
The book is a commentary on Sri Valmiki Ramayana, where Dushyanth has added several significant snippets which intrigue readers.
