Delhi based luxury jewelry brand Vasundhra Raj is planning to open 25 new stores by 2027, after the successful opening of its first store in Delhi.
The designer wear brand has recently opened its second store in India at Sec. 18, Noida.

Vasundhra Raj, founder & creative director of Vasundhra Raj said, “When I started Vasundhra Raj, it came from a heartfelt desire to revive handcrafted jewellery that feels personal, soulful and deeply rooted in culture.
The warmth we’ve received in just one year has been truly humbling. Launching our debut store in Delhi followed by our flagship in Noida marks an important milestone, not just in terms of expansion, but in how we’re able to bring our universe closer to the people who connect with it.

As we continue to expand thoughtfully, I’m excited to carry this vision forward with the same purpose that started it all.”
The company is preparing to open its next store at Jaipur, a city that has been a muse for its design language. Another store is expected to come up in Noida soon.

The new stores are expected to come up at state capitals such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow as well as major cities such as Pune, Chandigarh & Coimbatore.

Indian consumers buy jewelry for 3 reasons – savings, show off and legacy!
Over two-thirds of Indians buy jewellery as a saving for the future. Being of the most liquid assets to hold on to, it is the easiest asset which can provide cash in hand – either by pledging or by selling, during an emergency or during life-time events such as higher education, marriage, buying automobiles or a house.

A section of consumers buy gold and diamond jewelry as a pass-on to future generations for legacy purposes.
A growing number of consumers are buying designer-wear jewelry for their novelty. They prefer their fine-jewelry made with exquisite artistry, especially rare and one-off collections to be a conversation starter.
The third set of customers are not just restricted to the top metro cities, rather they are spread all across Tier 2/3 towns as well.
