D2C Brand The Bear House has opened its fifth offline store – the first in Mumbai, after a successful opening incities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune. The 1,500 sq ft store has come up at Phoenix Marketcity Mall in Kurla.
The menswear brand is planning to open 20 new stores during FY 25-26, while accelerating marketing initiatives and product innovation.

Speaking about the launch, co-founders Tanvi Somaiya and Harsh Somaiya said, “Mumbai has always been central to India’s fashion narrative, and opening our first store here is a milestone we deeply cherish.
Having grown up in Bombay, the city holds a special place in our hearts and is one of the most important markets for fashion in the country.

The Bear House is more than a clothing label — it’s an ecosystem of design, comfort, and community. Our flagship store, with its immersive cave-inspired design and award-winning architecture, brings this philosophy to life.
We couldn’t think of a better city than Mumbai, with its energy and cosmopolitan spirit, to welcome customers into our world.”

The Bear House was founded in 2017 and offers everyday menswear with a philosophy rooted in minimalism, precision, and timeless design.
The brand is known for its elevated essentials, offering a modern mix of shirts, polos, tees, denims, outerwear, boxers, and accessories—all crafted from breathable fabrics with refined tailoring and a strong attention to detail.
The brand started off selling its products across leading e-commerce platforms, including Myntra, Ajio, Flipkart, and Amazon.

The brand’s memorable debut on Shark Tank India Season 4 further solidified The Bear House has built its reputation on quality, versatility, and a distinctly modern aesthetic, enriched by a refined European aesthetic.

The company is said to doing INR 21 Cr pa with a 12% EBITDA, according to a Linkedin post by Namita Thapar, Execcutive Director at Emcure Pharma.
The Flannel Shirts, traditionally associated with colder climates was reimagined by the brand with light weight, breathable and stylish fabrics and today contributes to 40% of its total sales.
