Habib Ahmed, the hair stylist best known for shaping the silver locks of India’s missile man and former President of India, Late Shri APJ Abdul Kalam passed away on 26 Sep. 2025.
Habib, father of noted hair stylist and salon chain owner Jawed Habib was born on 2 Oct. 1940 in Uttar Pradesh.

To accomplish his love for hairstyling, Habib pursued a course in Advanced Hairstyling Training at the Morris School of Hair Design in London during the 1970s and later on went on to become the most preferred stylist to the who’s who of New Delhi.
Habib Ahmed’s father Nazir Ahmed was the official hairdresser for Lord Linlithgow, former Governor General and Viceroy of India from 1936 to 1943.

Nazir Ahmed was also known for styling the last Governor General and Viceroy of India Lord Mountbatten, Jawahar Lal Nehru & Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India’s first Prime Minister and President, respectively.
