OVS S.p.A., the leading Italian group for men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing, also active in the beauty and home decoration segments has entered India.

The company has set up its first store at the Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, in the National Capital Region (NCR).

With a network of over 2,200 stores in Italy and abroad, most of which under the OVS and Upim brands, the group offers a wide range of proprietary brands including PIOMBO, OVS Kids, Blukids, Stefanel, Les Copains, Shaka and CROFF.

Listed on Euronext Milan since 2015, in 2024 it recorded sales of €1,631 million and achieved an EBITDA of €195.3 million.

Editor’s Note

Thanks to a growing population of GenZ and Millennials with higher disposable incomes and an eye for international fashion, several international brands are eyeing a slice of the pie in India.

The fashion apparel market in India is estimated to be INR 170,000 Cr. (USD 20 Bn) and is expected to double by 2030, according to Staista.

Indian retailers and entrepreneurs are not leaving any stone unturned, with those like Zudio, Yousta, Burnt Toast, Snitch and several others improving their drop frequencies and increasing their options every few weeks.
