At the 2026 annual convention at Davos, all eyes were on several world leaders for the pacts and announcements that they would be making. However, one leader’s looks became a conversation at the Swiss alps as well as across the world.
Emmanuel Macron, the French President was wearing a pair of aviator like reflective sunglasses, which created instant chatter online, prompting a thousand jokes, memes and questions.
Between meetings and discussions on the future of the global economy, French President Emmanuel Macron was photographed wearing a refined and distinctive accessory, perfect for those who know how to combine presence and personality.

Stefano Fulchir, President of iVision Tech, the Italian company that owns Maison Henry Jullien, told The Guardian , “My first reaction can be summed up in three letters: wow! It hasn’t been a typical day. I felt very honoured that the president is wearing our glasses.
Macron’s office had called the office of Fulchir in 2024 to buy a pair of the Pacific S 01 Double Gold sunglasses as a diplomatic gift during the G20 summit and a second pair for himself.
“He did not accept them as a gift, but wanted to purchase them personally. The French president paid close attention to whether the glasses were entirely made in France,” he added.

This detail is Henry Jullien’s Pacific 01 S, from the prestigious Doublè Or collection.
The silver metal frame combines perfectly with the blue glasses, creating an ideal balance between modernity and sophistication.
Editor’s Note
The French President wearing a pair of Italian sunglasses had a profound impact at the stock markets too.

Fulchir told Reuters that Macron’s look had created a wow effect on the stock which added around 3.5 million Euros (around INR 38 Cr) to the Italian company’s market capitalisation.
It is not uncommon that accessories sported by world leaders, especially politicians and celebrities becomes a conversational topic for a few days. And at times, the same brand flashes back in the future too for the right and wrong reasons.
