World’s leading footwear brand BIRKENSTOCK has expanded its core silhouettes with new launches LOMA and SOLANA,

Both styles build on the brand’s original footbed concept and the design language shaped by Karl Birkenstock, translating familiar archetypes into a more contemporary expression.

Updated materials, tactile closures and a reduced, utility-driven aesthetic give the silhouettes a refined and more streamlined appearance.

LOMA and SOLANA expand the clog and sandal portfolio with a closed-toe construction and a hook-and-loop closure that defines the look of both styles.

The adjustable fastening replaces the traditional metal buckle with a clean strap solution, allowing for precise fit adjustment and straightforward on-and-off wear, while maintaining a more minimal overall appearance.

Rather than changing what defines the product, LOMA and SOLANA reflect BIRKENSTOCK’s continuous process of refinement: evolving established forms through functional development while staying close to the brand’s core design principles.

Editor’s Notes

The company’s shoemaking tradition can be traced back to 1774.

Deeply rooted in orthopedics, the brand stands for superior functionality, the commitment to craftsmanship, uncompromising quality and the promise of an ultimate product experience.

The brand transfers this concept of well-being to shoes, sleep systems and natural cosmetics to help make the lives of our customers richer and better.

With 6,200+ employees worldwide, this traditional, sixth-generation family-run business is also one of the German footwear industry’s biggest employers.

Manufactured in Germany, BIRKENSTOCK products are sold in more than 100 countries globally. For the fiscal year ended Sep. 2025, Birkenstock reported a record-breaking global turnover of USD 2.46 Bn while Net Profit surged by 82% to reach USD 408 Mn.
