Global casualwear brand Lacoste has opened its third store in the city of kebabs and the erstwhile capital of Nawabs, at Lucknow.

Rajesh Jain, MD & CEO of Lacoste India shared on his Linkedin post, “We’re happy to expand our presence in Lucknow with a new Lacoste corner at Sindh Emporio.

Located in the heart of Lucknow, this becomes our third address in the city, alongside our stores at Lucknow Airport and Phoenix Palassio Mall.

This premium retail environment marks a partnership with a trusted MBO and brings Lacoste closer to Lucknow’s brand-aware consumer.

Step by step, we’re building depth in markets that value both heritage and contemporary fashion, and Lucknow continues to stand out”.

Recently Lacoste and Arthur Fils unveiled the Slam Break Premium sneaker, the début of a new franchise conceived as a contemporary court silhouette.

Drawing subtle connections to Lacoste’s heritage while being alive to the moment, the Slam Break Premium is a genuine synthesis of court details and modern construction.

In May 2026, Lacoste introduced a new visual identity on the richness of its archives, from the earliest creations of René Lacoste to the foundational work of Robert George, only to return to the codes that have shaped its identity, refining their uses to further assert our singularity.

Typography stands as a structuring element, reintroducing a pronounced presence of serif characters through a bespoke design distinguished by the precision of its proportions, rhythms and spacing.

The iconic Crocodile is brought forward more prominently, while the red tongue becomes more visible, reflecting the spirit of freedom and playfulness that defines Lacoste.

Editor’s Note

Two Lacoste items are sold every second, with a presence in more than 100 countries, on all continents.

The brand offers a wide of products including apparel, footwear, leather goods, underwear, fragrances, eyewear and watches, all of them being developed with a unique “savoir faire”, in the most qualitative, responsible and ethical way.

International brands are on an expansion spree in India, especially away from the high-profile top 8 metro cities.

One of Lacoste India’s biggest operational successes has been customer retention.

By leveraging a high-end loyalty program, the brand consistently clocks strong redemption rates, driving up average transaction value (ATV) and basket sizes without depending on end-of-season flash sales.

The brand currently operates over 50 standalone stores in 20 cities.
