Timex Group India’s new multibrand Timex World stores in Hyderabad and the Just Watches acquisition reveal a bold retail strategy for India’s growing watch market.
Timex Group India has opened two new Timex World stores in Hyderabad, positioned as curated multibrand watch destinations rather than single-brand showrooms.
Alongside Timex, the shelves carry Guess, Aston Martin and Daniel Wellington, under statutory Telugu signage, in Hyderabad, a market the company calls very important.
The strategy traces back to May 2023, when Timex acquired Mumbai-based Just Watches, taking over its stores and justwatches.com for an undisclosed sum, a bet on owning the shelf.
India’s watch market is estimated at USD 7 billion in 2026, up from USD 5 billion in 2020, a CAGR near 5 percent, with smartwatches growing far faster.

Low-priced models still account for 48 percent of revenue, and Titan leads, holding over 50 percent share below INR 25,000, leaving ample headroom for challengers with fashion and premium offerings.
Timex Group India closed FY26 at INR 800 crore revenue, up 48 percent, with profit before tax more than doubling; its privately held global parent discloses no revenues.
Revenue has risen from INR 141 crore in FY21 to INR 800 crore in FY26, a 41 percent CAGR, with e-commerce surging 90 percent in FY26.
Rivals are formidable: Titan runs 1,311 watch stores across Titan World, Fastrack, Helios and Helios Luxe, besides multibrand chains such as Zimsons.
Timex answers with brands it controls: Guess and Gc distribution rights, the Aston Martin licence, and a Timex core priced INR 1,500 to 7,000.

Shoppers gain wider reach, authentic stock under one roof, and a seamless link between store and justwatches.com, whether seeking an everyday Timex or a statement Aston Martin.
Quick commerce adds another lane: Timex sells on Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, Flipkart Minutes and Myntra Now, ideal for last-minute gifting and moving slow-selling models at sharp discounts.
With stores, brands and quick delivery now working together, Timex looks well placed to turn Hyderabad’s watch lovers into loyal customers and replicate the playbook across other cities.
Editor’s Note
Analog will outlast the smartwatch wave: Titan’s analog sales grew 16 percent in Q4 FY26 while smartwatches fell 53 percent, because a watch is jewellery first, timekeeper second.

Smartwatches look alike, with little visible brand identity once the screen sleeps, whereas legacy names such as Timex, Guess and Aston Martin carry real badge value across a crowded room.
India has a billion wrists waiting to tell a story. Retailers who make buying a first, second and fifth watch effortless, in store and online, will own the decade ahead.
