So/Facet's INR 10 crore seed round offers insights into how lab-grown diamond jewellery is reshaping everyday fine jewellery retail in India.
So/Facet, a lab-grown diamond jewellery start-up, has raised INR 10 crore in seed funding led by Sauce, signalling investor confidence in everyday fine jewellery.
India’s lab-grown jewellery market is valued at about USD 450 million in 2026 and is projected to touch USD 1 billion by 2032, growing at 15% annually.
Gold’s relentless price climb is pushing younger buyers towards affordable diamonds that look identical, feel luxurious and fit daily-wear budgets.
Surat’s cutting and polishing ecosystem, along with growing domestic diamond production, gives homegrown brands a cost and supply advantage over imported competitors.
Titan’s beyOn has lent the category scale and legitimacy, while Limelight, Lucira, Aukera and Fiona Diamonds are crowding the space between premium and affordable.
Recent funding has been brisk: Limelight raised INR 250 crore, Aukera USD 15 million, and Lucira USD 6 million in India’s largest jewellery seed round.
So/Facet plans an online launch in November 2026, using digital as its first showroom to test designs, pricing and customer appetite.

Physical retail follows, with 30+ stores targeted over three years, a measured pace compared with rivals racing towards rapid footprints.
“Earn trust online first, and every new store opens with customers waiting,” says S. Shriram, CEO of Miles2Go Consulting Services, who added 140 cafes for Cafe Coffee Day since 2009.
Consumers still ask difficult questions: Is certification reliable? Will resale value hold? Is lab-grown special enough for gifting and weddings?
Brands that answer with transparent grading, lifetime exchange policies and design-led storytelling will convert curiosity into repeat purchase.
Editor’s Note
Category education, not discounting, will decide the winners. The first brand to make lab-grown feel emotional rather than economic will own the next decade.
Digital-first launches reduce risk, yet jewellery is touched before it is trusted. So/Facet’s stores must feel like experiences, not inventory rooms.

A INR 10 crore cheque is an advantage, not a limitation. Lean teams listen faster to customers than heavily funded rivals do.
India’s daily-wear diamond moment is arriving, and early, thoughtful brands will sparkle brightest.
