The Pant Project's INR 109 crore Series B shows how a fit-first specialist can scale into 150+ stores in India's tailor-dominated trouser market.
The Pant Project has raised INR 109 crore in a Series B round led by Mirae Asset, with Sorin and Alteria adding venture debt.
The plan is bold: scale from 25 stores to over 150 in two to three years, riding a revenue surge of more than 5x since Series A.
India’s men’s trousers market is estimated near INR 34,000 crore, with Technopak projecting about INR 59,000 crore by 2028 at a 6% annual growth.
Raymond Lifestyle, listed in 2024, crossed INR 7,000 crore in FY26 across 1,653 stores, showing how far branded menswear can scale.

Blackberrys runs 400 exclusive stores across 150 cities and plans 70 more this year, backed by an INR 100 crore investment over three years.
Indian Terrain closed FY26 at INR 378 crore, operating 176 exclusive stores, with multi-brand outlets driving growth as it sharpens its smart-casual focus.
“Indian Terrain offers one of the best trouser fits in India,” says S. Shriram, former Vice President, Indian Terrain. “The Pant Project must now earn that same trust.”
Founded by Dhruv and Udit Toshniwal, the brand raised about INR 35 crore in Series A in 2024 and closed FY24 at INR 31 crore revenue.

The consumer’s struggle is fit. Indian men vary widely in height and girth, so off-the-shelf trousers often compromise comfort, pushing buyers back to tailors.
Stores solve the trial problem online cannot: touching fabric, checking fit, trusting the waist. Paired with in-house production, they convert hesitation into repeat purchases.
With patient capital, a clear fit promise and a vast tailor-dependent market, The Pant Project has room to become India’s most trusted trouser brand.
Editor’s Note
Fit is retail’s most underpriced promise. Whoever solves it once earns loyalty for years, because a good trouser is rarely bought on discount.

Scaling from 25 to 150 stores will test consistency, not capital. Every outlet must deliver the same fit, fabric and service.
Legacy brands bring scale and Indian Terrain brings fit credibility; The Pant Project’s opening is bottomwear depth. Specialists build trust faster than generalists.
India’s tailor-loyal men are tomorrow’s customers. The brand that respects that craft tradition will inherit the market, one perfectly fitting trouser at a time.
