Vegas Mall's Dandiya Tales shows how regular, curated events turn festive crowds into footfall, discovery and lasting loyalty across Delhi NCR malls.
Shoppers can now buy almost anything on a phone, so malls must offer experiences that make them walk in, and stay.
Vegas Mall, Dwarka, answered with The Dandiya Tales on 18 and 19 October, turning its Central Piazza into a festive stage of music, dance and contests.
Actress Rakul Preet Singh’s 18 October appearance, live DJ and Dflacko performances and an SFX showdown kept both days buzzing.
Vice President Ravinder Choudhary said, “Our vision for Vegas Mall extends beyond shopping to creating a vibrant destination where people come together to celebrate, connect and create lasting memories.”
Delhi NCR holds 19 mn sq ft of India’s 73 mn sq ft Grade A mall stock, with 7% vacancy, ANAROCK says.
Vegas Mall competes with DLF Mall of India, Select Citywalk, Ambience and V3S East Centre, all chasing experience-led visits rather than rentals alone.
Anchors include Lifestyle and a PVR superplex, joined by Adidas, GAP and Fabindia, across 28,000 sq m beside Dwarka Sector 14 Metro station.

Its 1.3-acre Piazza, built for concerts and film launches, is the differentiator, giving newer additions like Bombay Shirt Company and IRTH, added in October 2025, a ready audience.
S. Shriram, Retail Strategy Leader, Miles2Go Consulting Services, said, “Each event draws new visitors, and they walk the entire mall, notice a concept or brand, and come back for it.”
“Held regularly but never overdone, events keep a mall fresh, and every visit becomes a chance to discover something new,” he added.
Experience-led planning like this can turn a few festive days into lasting loyalty, giving Delhi NCR malls a hopeful season ahead.
Editor’s Note
Every event is a free audition for a mall’s tenants. A visitor who came for the actress leaves having noticed a denim label, a café, a reason to return.
The real measure is not event-day crowds but the conversion afterwards: repeat visits, tenant sales and leasing enquiries. Malls that track these will curate smarter calendars.
With vacancy at a five-year low nationally, brands can pick destinations that already draw people. Dwarka has the crowd, and a thoughtful calendar can keep it growing, season after season.
