In what could be a turning point in detecting the Coronavirus (Covid-19) as well as such other new traces which may come up in the future through a rapid testing manner, UAE’s Qatar is now using the humble mobile devices to test walk-ins who enter Malls and Shopping Centres.

At a Mall in Abu Dhabi, the security staff is seen screening customers where in the Mobile device detects a “Negative” or “Positive” status when the screen is shown on the forehead of a person. With a reasonable rate of success, this could be the new innovation that Brands, Retailers and Shopping Centres could embrace in a big way in times to come.

Similar usage could be seen probably at Cinema Theatres, Multiplexes, Concert halls, Sporting venues and of course at Educational Institution worldwide as a random way to detect those people who may be partially or fully infected. Needless to say, an RT-PCR test could be more credible but this one is a quick fix, after all.
