How Eggoz Raised INR 280 Crore on Eggs

Eggoz raised about 280.00 crore on improving margins and a 24-hour egg supply chain, showing what investors back in India's branded egg market.

Eggoz has earned about INR 280 crore of investor confidence, backed by steadily improving margins and, by the company’s account, EBITDA breakeven in Q4 FY25.

IIT Kharagpur alumni Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh and Uttam Kumar founded Eggoz in 2017, building a farmer-led supply chain that delivers within 24 hours.

India’s egg market was worth about 70,000 crore in 2025, yet over 90% of eggs are still sold unbranded.

Abhishek Negi, Co-founder and CEO, Eggoz, told Outlook Business the Series C would help “expand to new cities, and invest in technology and supply chain infrastructure.”

Credible poultry names such as SKM, Suguna, Venky’s and Keggs bring deep farm integration, making urban shelves a demanding contest for newcomers.

Revenue grew from 55.48 crore in FY23 to 74.94 crore in FY24, then 130.00 crore in FY25 and 180.00 crore in FY26.

The EBITDA gap narrowed from 28.71 crore in FY23 to 22.38 crore in FY24 and touched breakeven in Q4 FY25, while FY26’s 44 crore funds expansion.

Capital came in stages: seed of 3.70 crore, Series B of 66.00 crore in 2022, and a Series C of about 171.00 crore led by Gaja Capital in 2025.

Shoppers still weigh a branded tray against loose eggs at the neighbourhood shop, so freshness and traceability must justify the premium daily.

Yet the direction is encouraging: protein awareness is rising, quick commerce is widening reach, and a 24-hour supply chain can make eggs a brand habit.

Editor’s Note

Investors fund evidence, not eggs. Eggoz’s margin climb from minus 52% to breakeven is that evidence, and investors have paid for it.

Make no mistake: the supply chain is the moat.

Freshness within 24 hours cannot be copied by advertising, and FY26’s spend is a deliberate bet on it.

The mandate is clear: hold the margin, scale the volumes, take the egg aisle national.

India’s first household egg brand is within reach, and Eggoz is best placed to claim it.
