Kavindra Mishra takes over as CEO & Executive Director of Shoppers Stop

In less than six months of joining India’s leading department store chain Shoppers Stop as Chief Commercial Officer, noted retail industry leader Kavindra Mishra has been elevated as Executive Director & CEO. He will take over the new role with effect from 1 September 2023.

Kavindra is currently the Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Home Stop, the home furnishings division of the Shoppers Stop Group.

Venu Nair, CEO and Managing Director will be relieved from his current role on 31 Aug. ‘23, However will continue to guide and advise Kavindra over the next six months in his new role.

Until 2019, Kavindra was the CEO of House of Anita Dongre and later served as Managing Director from Dec. 2019 until he joined Shoppers Stop. He was earlier the Managing Director for Pepe Jeans India where he turned around the brand during his six year tenure.

Kavindra completed his Masters Degree at IIM Bangalore in 1999. After starting his career with the American trendsetter fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger in India, he joined the Italian fashion brand United Colors of Benetton.
