Editor’s Note
Traditional wear has been gaining prominence in recent years, thanks to the younger generation who are preferring contextual attire. There is also an interesting trend where the Millennials and the GenZ do not want to repeat their clothing for different occasions such as social, spiritual, etc.
The apparel market size in India is currently estimated to be USD 100 Bn. The traditional wear apparel market is projected to grow to USD 45 Bn by 2030.

Brands like Minister White are opening stores across the country to cater to the growing needs of the young and old, who are getting more choosy with their traditional clothing shopping, with more emphasis on style, quality and pricing.
