Keventers has launched a brand new category of fizzy drinks this summer season. Sparkling Iced Beverages will now be available in five variants – Aam Panna, Kala Khatta, Spiced Chai, Classic Lemon Iced Tea and Peach Iced Tea. In view of a scorching summer ahead, many brands are gearing up with a new offering and so is Keventers.

Agastya Dalmia, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Keventers said, “Our product portfolio has expanded across the past few years to reflect contemporary trends. Our focus has been on identifying consumer preferences and bringing an innovative approach to our products. Nostalgia has always been a strong premise for our brand approach, and this time we brought a very unique and inherently Indian aspect to our product development. Fizzy drinks are a large category in India, and we have attempted to bring a disruptive approach to it by introducing familiar and favorite Indian flavors in a refreshing packaging.”

Keventers, creator of the iconic milkshake is India’s first very own ‘Made in India’ brand. Established in 1925 by Edward Keventer, Keventers then became famed for its milkshakes. Acquired by Ram Krishna Dalmia in 1940, it underwent great changes through the course of history. From supplying to the Indian army to becoming the preferred choice for Delhiites walking around Connaught Place.

The brand was then revived in 2015 by Agastya Dalmia, Aman Arora and Sohrab Sitaram. Keeping the vintage tone alive with its signature glass bottles, the trio has completely revamped the brand in a way that makes it strike a chord with modern-day consumers. Presently Keventers has brand presence across India, UAE, Oman and Kenya.

Soft Drinks market size in India is estimated to be around Rs. 65,000 Cr pa (USD 8.85 Bn) in 2023 and would grow annually by 5.40% CAGR up to 2027. Pepsico India had a turnover of Rs. 6,385 Cr for Fy 21-22 while Coca Cola had an annual revenue of Rs. 3,121 Cr for the same period. Other than carbonated beverages, Pepsi also sells snack brands such as Kurkure and Lays chips in India.
