TRRAIN transforms lives of 10,000 youngsters in Retail through Donors

Over a million people are directly employed in the Organised Retail Industry in India. Most of these employees work at retail stores at high streets, malls and airports while a fifth of them work in the backend such as warehouses, distribution centres as well as corporate offices.

TRRAIN – Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates in India is a not-for profit entity that supports the growth of individuals who are employed in the retail industry.

Formed in 2011 by the visionary and exemplary corporate leader BS Nagesh, formerly the CEO and MD of Shoppers Stop, TRRAIN works towards achieving immediate and lasting change in the lives of retailers and retail associates in India.

Top corporates such as JP Morgan, Accenture, Hexaware, Info Edge, Landmark Group, Starbucks, Levi’s, Titan, Inorbit Malls, Chalet Hotels, Angel One Broking, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank were tagged in the post, indicating these were the prominent Donors who came forward to assist the lives of the lesser privileged.

TRRAIN also encourages every retailer in the country – small or large to celebrate Retail Employees Day (RED) on 12 December every year, as a day to honour the unsung heroes and thank them for their tireless efforts.
