Tamil film actor Karthi, an MBA from Binghampton University, USA is not an actor by choice. Son of thespian actor Sivakumar and younger brother of Actor Surya, Karthi has not just evolved as an actor over the last 2 decades, rather has been as popular for his philanthropic activities as well.
The actor’s 25th film titled “Japan” hit the screens worldwide on Fri. 10 Nov. ’23 ahead of Deepavali festival. The movie is said to have already grossed INR 150 Cr pre-release.
Restaurant retail chain Junior Kuppanna has collaborated with the movie Producer Dream Warrior Productions to draw the actor’s fanbase to its restaurants this festival season.
Starting from the movie’s release date, the entire staff of the restaurant chain will be donning face masks of actor Karthi , adding a touch of star power to the dining experience of customers.
When customers present a ticket stub from the movie “Japan,” Junior Kuppanna will offer a complimentary serving of the specially curated “Japan Chicken” at the restaurant.
The movie is said to be made on a budget of INR 75 Cr and stars Anu Emanuel as the lead actress.
The film will be screened at over 500 theatres across the country and many parts across the world, where the actor has a huge fanbase. The film is said to be loosely based on several jewellery heists, real and reel and is directed by Raju Murugan.
