UAE’s leading hypermarket chain LuLu Group has set foot in the state of Telangana with a world class mall. This is the company’s sixth project in India. Spread over 500,000 sq ft., the mall also houses the much celebrated LuLu Hypermarket spread over 2 lakh sq ft. The project has come up at an estimated investment of INR 300 Cr.
LuLu entered India in 2013 with its first project at Kochi in Kerala. This was followed by projects at Trivandrum and Thrissur in Kerala, Bangalore in Karnataka, Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.
The mall has replaced the erstwhile Manjeera Mall located at Kukatpally in the city of Hyderabad. Over 2,000 people are set to benefit with direct employment from this project. The new mall will house over 75 international and Indian brands and a 5-screen multiplex.

M.A. Yusuff Ali, Chairman, LuLu Group said “Apart from this, we have also committed ₹3,500 crore over next three years in a destination shopping mall, mini malls and agricultural produce sourcing, logistics and processing hub for facilitating 100% exports as well as promotion of Telangana products across India and overseas.”

LuLu Hypermarkets have extensively laid out counters, sprawling parking spaces, play areas for children, food court, money exchange and bank counters besides a panoply of international and regional brands aptly justifying its tagline, ‘LuLu, where the world comes to shop’.
Addressing the gathering, KT Rama Rao, Telangana Municipal Administration Minister said he was hopeful of the Lulu Group’s investment exceeding the INR 3,500 Cr committent it had made on malls, super markets, food processing and allied sectors, including aquaculture and fish processing.

LuLu symbolizes quality retailing with over 200 stores and is immensely popular with the discerning shoppers across the Gulf region.
LuLu Hypermarkets also operates across 23 markets in the GCC, Egypt, Indonesia and Malaysia. The company is set to open its second project in the state of Tamil Nadu in Chennai, followed by the success of its hypermarket in Coimbatore. The closely held company is said to have had an annual turnover of INR 66,000 Cr (USD 8 Bn) in FY 2022.
