Decathlon, the world leader in sports and leisure equipment retail has announced the launch of its newest store. The brand-new store has come up at the Marina Mall, Egattur in Chennai. The mall is located almost at the fag-end of the IT-corridor, popularly known as OMR – Old Mahabalipuram Road.
The Decathlon store spans over 13,000 sq. ft. And includes all the popular categories found across other stores in India. The concept store is enormously famous in India for its travel gear, sports equipment and apparel for day today use, at affordable prices with good quality.

At this store, customers can also discover a one-of-a-kind digital play/experience area, a cozy 350 sq. ft. space designed to captivate senses.
Decathlon Sports was founded in 1976 in France. The company aims to make the pleasure and benefit of sports accessible to everyone across the globe. Decathlon does that by providing world-class products, both for enthusiastic beginners as well as passionate professionals, at extremely affordable prices.
The company set shop in India in 2009. The first store came up at the suburban area of Bangalore, at Sarjapur, once considered to be almost at the eastern end of the Silicon valley city of India.
